YOU ARE INVITED to our annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day!

Please make plans to join us at the annual Fun Run/Walk & 5k on Thanksgiving Day during our CSHC Thanksgiving Work Weekend. Everyone is welcome to join and t-shirt proceeds will go to help with Bible School 2026.

The 5k will begin at 7:30am at the Youth Park.

The Fun Run/Walk will immediately follow the 5k, beginning at 8:00am. The Fun Run will consist of four laps around the church (totaling one full mile).

This is a great opportunity for Kids, Parents, Family, and Friends to get outside and Turkey Trot together!

A 5k is short for 5 kilometers (3.1 miles).

A fun run is an untimed walk or run of any distance desired.  It is meant for community engagement and enjoyment. Our fun run will be approximately one mile and is open for walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages. We encourage you to bring your kids to this event and please plan to walk/run it with them as we will have limited volunteers. 

We would like for everyone to participate in some way! You can participate as a runner (we use this term loosely – walking or jogging or walk/running is expected), as a volunteer (to help with route coordination, handing out waters, etc.), or simply come to cheer on the race participants. Everyone is welcome! 

No. We are not timing the event or tracking who comes in first, second, etc. Participants can time themselves if they’d like, but no official time will be kept. 

Because We Can!  God has gifted us breath, body, and the privilege to move!  We hope to encourage one another in a healthy group activity, and raise money to support our Bible School in 2026. Besides, some folks actually enjoy running 😉

No conflict. This event will be held in the morning prior to any of the scheduled work. 

Both will begin and end at the Youth Park. In the 5K, we will loop around the streets of the Campground, venture down the road towards the Church Home, until we finally making our way back to the Youth Park crossing the finish line. The Fun Run/Walk will consist of four laps around the outside of the Main Church Sanctuary, before finishing at the Youth Park where the finish line awaits. 

No.  The event is completely free to enter! This is for anyone who wants to participate, and we encourage everyone to participate in some way. However, we are encouraging everyone to purchase a “Turkey Trot” t-shirt as a fundraising effort for Bible School. We have short sleeve and long sleeve in youth and adult sizes.  Also tank tops, and of course sweatshirts!
